Overnight Slow Cooker Oatmeal

1 Cup Steel cut oats (Do not use quick or instant oats)
4 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Brown sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup chopped apples (optional)

Directions
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.  Cook on low for 8 hours.  Serve with dried fruit and nuts.
